Boeing Union Negotiations Resume Amid Wage Demands
Negotiations between Boeing and its largest white-collar union, SPEEA, are set to resume on Monday after talks stalled. The contract offer presented by Boeing was overwhelmingly rejected by the union's roughly 17,000 members last week.
The union's top priorities include larger and immediate guaranteed wage increases from Boeing, followed by more money for annual performance-based raises and better annual cost-of-living adjustments. These demands were identified in a survey conducted by SPEEA among nearly 13,000 of its members.
Boeing has stated that it wants to reach an agreement with the union before the current contract expires on October 6. The company has declined further comment.
