Boeing Union Revolt Threatens Turnaround Momentum
Boeing is facing renewed labor tension as its largest white-collar union, SPEEA, overwhelmingly rejected a four-year contract offer and authorized leaders to call a strike once the current pact expires in October 2026.
The union members objected to wage hikes capped at 3% despite higher Seattle inflation, and cited mistrust over outsourcing, past job cuts, and lingering quality and safety concerns.
This comes as Boeing tries to convince Wall Street it is firmly in turnaround mode, with 17 of 18 analysts rating the stock a Buy, and an average price target near $275 implying roughly 28% upside.
