Boeing White-Collar Union Votes on New Contract Offer

Boeing's white-collar union is preparing to vote on a new contract offer that addresses some of their top priorities. The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) represents around 17,000 employees and has been negotiating with Boeing for a new contract.

The initial offer was rejected by the union members last month due to concerns over wage proposals and guaranteed pay raises. However, the latest offer includes a 10% guaranteed wage increase effective October 2nd and a 4% annual raise for the length of the contract. This would result in an average pay increase of 32% over four years.

Union leaders have recommended that rank-and-file members vote yes on the proposal, citing that it addresses many of their concerns. However, some union members remain uncertain about the deal and are still preparing for the possibility of a strike if the contract is rejected.
