Boeing Wins $20 Billion Navy Fighter Contract

The US Navy has selected Boeing to develop its F/A-XX sixth-generation fighter Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) aircraft program, in a contract expected to cost over $20 billion. The announcement comes after months of anticipation following the Air Force's selection of Boeing in 2025 to build its sixth-generation F-47.

The full-scale development phase contract procures multiple test aircraft for ground, airworthiness, systems, and weapons integration testing. This decision marks a significant milestone in the development of the NGAD program, with Boeing beating out Northrop Grumman.
