Boeing Wins $47.7 Million in Military Contract Modifications
Boeing has secured two significant U.S. military contract modifications worth a combined $47.7 million. The first is a $33.9 million modification from the U.S. Army for the CH-47F Block I Chinook helicopter production line, specifically to incorporate country-specific requirements for South Korea. This brings the total value of the underlying contract to $827.4 million. The second modification, valued at $13.8 million, comes from the Defense Logistics Agency and supports the manufacture of KC-135 fan duct spares for the U.S. Air Force.
The CH-47F modification, awarded under contract W58RGZ-23-F-0395, involves a single bid solicitation and receipt. Work locations and funding details will be determined per order, with an estimated completion date of October 31, 2029. The contracting activity is handled by the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
The KC-135 modification, identified as P00003, was issued under a five-year base contract SPRPA1-24-D-001E. This contract has an eight-year performance period, concluding on March 30, 2034, with no option periods. The work will be supported by fiscal 2024 defense working capital funds and managed by the Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
These awards provide Boeing with long-term work across both new helicopter production and sustainment-related spare parts for existing aircraft fleets, reinforcing its role in key Army and Air Force aviation programs.
