Boeing Wins 47.7 Million in Military Contracts for Chinook Helicopters and KC-135 Spares
Boeing has secured two significant U.S. military contract modifications, totaling approximately $47.7 million, to support key aviation programs. The larger award is a $33.9 million modification for the CH-47F Block I Chinook helicopter production line, specifically to incorporate South Korean requirements. This brings the total value of the CH-47F contract to $827.4 million, with work expected to conclude by October 31, 2029.
The second award is a $13.8 million modification from the Defense Logistics Agency for the manufacture of KC-135 fan duct spares. This contract, based in Oklahoma, has an eight-year performance period ending on March 30, 2034. Both awards were made on a sole-source basis, ensuring Boeing's continued role in these critical military aviation programs.
The CH-47F modification involves country-specific adjustments for South Korea, while the KC-135 modification focuses on sustaining the existing aircraft fleet. These contracts reflect Boeing's ongoing commitment to supporting both new helicopter production and the maintenance of older aircraft through spare parts manufacturing.
