Boeing Wins Multi-Billion Dollar Contract for Navy's F/A-XX Sixth-Generation Fighter
The U.S. Navy has selected Boeing to produce its F/A-XX aircraft, a sixth-generation fighter that will replace the service's fleet of F/A-18 Super Hornets.
The contract is valued at multiple billions of dollars and marks Boeing's second selection for sixth-generation fighter work, following the award of the U.S. Air Force's F-47 program in 2025.
According to Steve Parker, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, the company is ready to execute this critical program due to decades of work, game-changing innovations, and investments made in new facilities uniquely suited to build multiple products with next-generation capabilities.
