Boeing Wins Navy's Next-Gen Fighter Contract, Boosts St. Louis Jobs

Congresswoman Ann Wagner has praised Boeing's selection for the Navy's Next-Generation Fighter Program. The program will see Boeing build the F/A-XX, a sixth-generation strike fighter.

In her statement, Wagner highlighted that the decision means St. Louis will host both the Navy's and Air Force's next-generation fighter programs.

Wagner has long supported Boeing defense programs in Congress, including work tied to the F/A-18 and F-15. She described the award as a win for Missouri workers and said the company supports thousands of local jobs.

Wagner also stated that the program will help strengthen U.S. military air power and that she will continue to advocate for Boeing and the St. Louis region in Congress.
