Boeing Wins USD75 Million Contract for JDAM Long Range Munition Production

Boeing has secured a major contract from the US Air Force worth USD75 million to produce its Joint Direct Attack Munition Long Range (JDAM LR) system.

The Undefinitized Contract Action (UCA) was awarded in August 2026, marking a significant milestone for the JDAM LR program.

According to Boeing, the contract follows a nearly USD100 million investment into the programme and clears it for initial production of Payload Delivery Units (PDUs) for the US Navy.

The JDAM LR recently completed its first flight test in April 2026, demonstrating its ability to use existing aircraft interfaces and navigate to its target over long distances.
