Boeing Workers Vote on Contract with 10% Raise and More
About 16,000 Boeing engineers and technical workers are voting on a new contract offer from the company. The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) union members began voting at noon on whether to approve the four-year deal.
The union's leadership largely recommended that members accept the latest contract proposal sent by Boeing on September 11. The proposal includes a guaranteed 10% wage increase this year and a 4% increase next year, among other terms.
Union members had until October 1 to approve the contract.
