Boeing's 777X Delivers High Fuel Bills for Airlines

Boeing's 777X program has been plagued by issues since its inception. The manufacturer recently delivered its first 30 aircraft to customers, but there are concerns about the plane's efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The issue lies in the fact that these initial 777Xs have a higher fuel consumption rate than their predecessors. According to Boeing, each of these early models consumes approximately 17% more fuel per mile compared to the previous 777 model.

This is particularly concerning for airlines who are already struggling with rising fuel prices. To make matters worse, the 777X's increased fuel consumption will likely lead to higher operating costs for these carriers.
