Boeing's July Jet Deliveries Plummet by 17%

Boeing's July jet deliveries dropped by 17% compared to June, with the company handing over 53 jets during the month. This number is five more than Boeing delivered in July of last year but trails behind European rival Airbus, which delivered 67 planes in July.

The 737 MAX, one of Boeing's best-selling jets, accounted for 39 of these deliveries, along with 10 787s, one 777 freighter, and three 767s. Through July, Boeing has handed over a total of 367 jets this year, including 279 737 MAX and 50 787 jets.

Boeing also booked 30 new orders after adjusting for cancellations in July, which include several orders announced during the subdued Farnborough Airshow. The company's biggest order announcement at Farnborough was for 100 737 MAX jets from SMBC Aviation, although this order was actually booked in June.
