Boeing's Recovery Delayed Again Amid Software Glitch Worries
Boeing's recovery from last year's crises has hit turbulence after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) delayed certification of the 737 Max 10. The delay comes just 12 days after Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg mentioned approval was 'very soon'.
The FAA cited a newly found software glitch that could cut off a pilot's automated flight guidance during a go-around, when a landing is aborted and retried.
The fix sits with supplier GE Aerospace, which may try to rush a correction but couldn't say how fast. A safety finding could delay deliveries of the Max 7 too, which received FAA approval in August.
