BoomCloud 360 Sues Apple, Google, and Samsung Over Audio Patents
US-based audio technology firm BoomCloud 360 has filed a complaint against Apple, Google, and Samsung, alleging that their phones use its spatial audio processing technologies without permission.
The company is seeking a Limited Exclusion Order from the United States International Trade Commission (USITC), which would block the import and sale of affected devices in the US.
The specific phone models allegedly infringing on BoomCloud 360's patents have not been disclosed, but the lawsuit also includes smart speakers, headphones, earbuds, and smart TVs.
Apple, Google, and Samsung have filed declaratory judgment cases against the claims, which is a common response to patent infringement allegations.
