Nvidia's DLSS 5 technology has been tweaked to work on a wider range of GPUs, thanks to a new add-on for the Steam tool Borderless Gaming.

The developer behind Borderless Gaming has released an update that allows the app to apply DLSS 5 directly through its own pipeline, without modifying game files or requiring specific mods.

This implementation is not native DLSS 5 support, but rather a workaround to bring neural rendering into play. The dev notes that this can work on GPUs beyond just Nvidia's officially supported RTX 5000 models.

The tool, which is available for purchase on Steam, has received mixed reviews from users, with some expressing frustration over the addition of DLSS 5 support. One reviewer noted that 'DLSS 5 for no reason but to make games look worse... Slop.'
