Bradford Restaurant Stands Firm on Values Over Customer Demand
A Bradford restaurant has taken a firm stance against customers who disagree with its decision to not stock Coca-Cola and Pepsi, saying 'our values are worth more than your custom.'
The incident began when a customer asked why the restaurant did not have these brands available. The staff explained that they had made a conscious decision not to sell them due to their position on the conflict in Gaza and support for Palestinians.
The customer reportedly responded by saying she 'doesn't care' about what was happening, as it wasn't her problem because she's not Muslim. She then threatened to leave a negative review if they didn't offer her a discount or let her bring in her own drinks.
The restaurant refused to give in to her demands and asked the family to finish their starters and leave. They explained that nobody is forced to eat at their restaurant, and if their values bother someone too much, there are plenty of other places they can choose to spend their money.
