Bradway's Advice for Amgen Interns: Stay Curious and Take Risks
Amgen recently hosted its summer intern class of 185 students from over 75 colleges and universities across the US. These interns contributed to meaningful projects throughout the company while gaining hands-on experience advancing Amgen's mission to serve patients.
The interns gathered at Amgen's Thousand Oaks headquarters for a week of learning, networking, and leadership engagement. During an Executive Speaker Series session, Chairman and CEO Bob Bradway shared his advice with the interns.
Bradway emphasized the importance of staying curious and adaptable in one's career. He noted that his own curiosity led him to explore areas outside his background in finance and ultimately helped shape his career at Amgen.
The CEO also encouraged the interns to be willing to take risks and not be afraid to try new things, stating 'If you're not willing to try, you're not going to get it.'
