Brighton Stun Arsenal with 2-0 Lead at Half-Time
Arsenal's unbeaten streak came to an end at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion, who stormed into a 2-0 lead against the Gunners before half-time.
The visitors had been on a roll, boasting seven straight victories in their opening seven competitive fixtures, including wins over Manchester City and Ipswich Town. However, Fabian Hurzeler's side had other plans for the American Express Stadium crowd.
Pascal Gross broke the deadlock with a powerful right-footed strike from the edge of the area in the 31st minute. Brighton then punished Arsenal immediately after Saka squandered a golden counter-attacking opportunity, as Charalampos Kostoulas drilled another low, long-range effort past David Raya just before the interval.
