British Airways Unveils New 18-Hour Route and Summer Schedule

British Airways has unveiled its plans for Summer 2027, including a new 18-hour route from London to Santiago via Buenos Aires. The airline will increase frequencies on several existing routes and adjust its Latin American network.

The new routing for Santiago will see British Airways operate the first leg between London Heathrow and Ezeiza International Airport in Argentina, followed by a one-hour and 50-minute stopover in Buenos Aires before continuing to Santiago. The total scheduled journey from London to Chile's capital will be 18 hours and five minutes.

The airline will use its Boeing 777-200ERs on the new routing, which features the latest version of British Airways' Club World cabin. The aircraft will have 48 Club Suites in a 1-2-1 configuration, as well as Recaro seats for economy passengers.
