Brown Derby Lounge Reopens With Major Upgrade
After a two-month closure for renovations, Disney's Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge has reopened at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The lounge, located outdoors beside the main restaurant, now features a large covered structure with ceiling fans and new lighting fixtures to provide more comfort in Florida's unpredictable weather.
The construction began on June 29th and lasted until September 1st, with crews working to install a permanent covering over the patio. This upgrade was visible from early July when support columns were installed around the seating area. By mid-August, the new awning, ceiling fans, and lantern-style light fixtures were largely in place.
The reopened patio offers a more protected outdoor dining experience for guests, who can now enjoy their meals without direct sunlight or sudden rain showers interrupting them. The lounge still has its original location beside a pedestrian walkway, making it a convenient people-watching spot.
