BTIG Trims McDonald's Price Target Amid Sales Pressures
BTIG has adjusted its price target for McDonald's Corp. (MCD) to $295 from $350, citing concerns over sales trends and investment costs. The stock currently trades at $237.02, down approximately 21% year-to-date.
The firm highlighted several positives, including slower unit growth, a more deliberate promotional calendar, and focus on restaurant efficiency. However, BTIG noted negatives such as the planned investment of $5.0 billion through 2030, totaling $8.5 billion, and U.S. sales trends remaining pressured.
Beyond BTIG's adjustment, other analysts have also released updates following McDonald's Investor Day presentation. RBC Capital has lowered its price target to $285, while maintaining a Sector Perform rating. UBS reiterated a Buy rating with a $320 price target, emphasizing the NEXT growth strategy.
