Bullen Brings Creative Expertise to The Social Lights
The Social Lights, an advertising agency, has appointed Dave Bullen as their vice president of creative. Bullen has over 20 years of experience in the ad industry and most recently spent 16 years at Mono, a Minneapolis-based creative agency.
Bullen's extensive background includes working with well-known brands such as Google, Apple, Harley-Davidson, Alfa Romeo, Target, and Sherwin-Williams. He has held various art director roles throughout his career, including stints at Olson and Carmichael Lynch.
The agency's new hire highlights the importance of social media in the creative ad landscape. The Social Lights' president and chief growth officer, Stephanie Schafer, emphasized that social media demands 'the same brand rigor as any other component of a marketing plan.'
Bullen expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team, stating, 'Speed and meaning don't have to be at odds. My creative mantra has always been: be brave or be dead.' He believes brands must slow down to understand their identity before moving forward.
