Bundy Museum Closes Doors Amid Financial Struggles
The Bundy Museum of History and Art in Binghamton is temporarily closing its doors after 22 years of operation. According to museum officials, the decision was made due to financial struggles and challenges posed by a rapidly changing world.
The Queen Anne house on Main Street has been a fixture in the community, showcasing exhibits that tell the story of Harlow Bundy's time-recording empire, which eventually became IBM. The museum is undertaking a comprehensive reorganization and downsizing, with tours, programs, services, and activities suspended for now.
The final day of operation will be August 22, 2026, after which regular hours will cease. The Annex Theater shows are expected to continue as scheduled, although cancellations may occur with minimal notice.
