Michael Burry, the investor known for 'The Big Short,' has added to his positions in several high-profile stocks. He increased his short bets on Nvidia (NVDA), Palantir (PLTR), Oracle (ORCL), and Caterpillar (CAT), as well as the iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX).

Burry also added to his long position in Molina Healthcare (MOH), saying he remains bullish on the company over the long term. He compared today's situation to 2005, right before the housing crash, when Goldman Sachs was holding a $3-billion complex mortgage investment.

Burry noted that today's market has 'shades of Enron's effort to make wholesale power an investable class.' He added that companies are expanding their debt perimeter with off-balance sheet tricks and non-cancellable long-term contracts. This, he said, will hurt on the way back.

The investor also mentioned his work on a new article that introduced a wider interpretation of liabilities, which he calls the 'perimeter of debt.' He expressed concerns about AI-linked names and compared today's market to 2005, when the whole system seemed like it might collapse. However, Goldman Sachs managed to sell its position, and once they did, the floodgates opened in 2006.
