Canada Recalls Choking Hazard Children’s Book, Burn Risk Barbecues

Health Canada has issued new product recall notices for several items sold at major Canadian retailers. Among the recalled products are children's books, barbecues, hair products, Bluetooth speakers, and smart glasses.

The 'Make Believe Ideas Groovy Baby “I Spy a Fly!”' board book was recalled due to a choking hazard. The book was sold in Canada through Amazon and Indigo from March 2025 to June 2026, affecting 1,247 units. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the book and contact Make Believe Ideas for a refund.

Recalled barbecues were also sold at The Home Depot and on Amazon. These products pose various safety risks, including burn hazards and electrical issues.
