Canadian Sports Fans Demand More From Their Viewing Experience
A new study by IBM has found that Canadian sports fans are increasingly demanding more from their viewing experience, particularly in terms of AI-powered features and personalized content.
The survey, which polled 20,589 sports fans across 12 countries including Canada, revealed that 68% of respondents see value in AI-powered sports features. Real-time statistical insights and predictions were found to be the most valuable feature among Canadian respondents (27%), followed by personalized content tailored to their interests (21%).
Canadian fans are also looking for faster event recaps, with 54% wanting quicker access to game summaries. Furthermore, 52% of respondents want greater access to their favourite players and teams.
The study found that managing multiple sports subscriptions is frustrating for many Canadian fans, with 44% citing this as a problem. However, there is also a desire for more streamlined experiences, with 36% of respondents saying they would be likely to download a single, centralized sports app that combines live streaming, scores, statistics and related content in one place.
