Cape Town Wine Lovers Rejoice: Trophy Winners Tasting Event Announced

The Fine Wine Awards has announced its first Trophy Winners Tasting event in Cape Town on September 26, 2026. The event will take place at Cavendish Square's Centre Court from 11am to 2pm and will feature over 1,000 wines that were entered into the competition this year.

The Fine Wine Awards are one of South Africa's significant wine competitions, with nearly 1,000 wines entered in the 2026 awards. The wines are judged blind, meaning the tasting panel evaluates each wine without seeing the bottle, label, producer or price. The focus is entirely on the quality of the wine in the glass.

The Trophy Winners Tasting will bring together the best-performing wines across different categories and give visitors the opportunity to taste some of South Africa's finest wines under one roof.
