Caspian Airlines Boeing Seized at Istanbul Airport Over €3M Debt

A Caspian Airlines Boeing 737-500 was seized at Istanbul Airport on September 28, 2026, over a €3 million debt claimed by ACM Temsil Gözetim, a Turkish aviation representation and supervision company.

The passengers had already boarded the Iran-bound flight when enforcement officers arrived. All passengers and crew were taken off the aircraft and returned to the terminal, while the Boeing 737 remained impounded on the apron at Istanbul Airport.

Caspian Airlines acknowledged temporary operational restrictions on one of its Boeing aircraft due to an administrative issue in Turkey and stated it had taken steps to deal with the debt. The airline expected the jet to return to Iran on Tuesday, but whether that happened has not been confirmed.
