Caterpillar CEO Unloads $26M in Stock After Exercising Options

Caterpillar CEO Joseph Creed made significant moves in his company's stock on August 28, 2026. He sold a total of 32,901 shares at prices ranging from $800.19 to $813.72 per share, resulting in a total value of approximately $26,211,763.

These sales followed the exercise of 44,403 employee stock options by Creed on the same date, which were granted under the Caterpillar Inc. 2014 Long-Term Incentive Plan on March 1, 2021. The options were exercised at a price of $219.76 per share.

Creed also disposed of 12,002 shares to cover tax liabilities associated with the option exercise, which was valued at approximately $9,757,385.
