Caterpillar Invests $3 Million in Arkansas Workforce Development
Caterpillar has launched its workforce commitment in Arkansas as part of its five-year, $100 million Building the Future Workforce Initiative.
The company is allocating up to $3 million for accessible skills-based training to prepare workers for modern manufacturing and industry technician roles. The goal is to expand hands-on manufacturing pathways, increase regional technical training capacity, and strengthen employer engagement.
Caterpillar currently employs over 530 people in Arkansas and works with 60 suppliers across the state. The company's chief human resources officer, Christy Pambianchi, stated that every community has the talent to build a strong manufacturing workforce and that this investment can help create more opportunities for that talent to grow and succeed.
