Caterpillar Invests Heavily in Arkansas Workforce Development
Caterpillar has launched a $3 million workforce initiative in Arkansas as part of its five-year, $100 million Building the Future Workforce Initiative. This is the fifth allocation for this program, which aims to prepare workers in modern manufacturing and industry technician roles.
The company will use up to $3 million to support training programs, expand hands-on manufacturing pathways for students, and increase technical training capacity across the region.
Caterpillar employs over 530 people in Arkansas and works with 60 suppliers across the state. The initiative seeks to deepen employer engagement through collaborations with leading organizations, including the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College, Little Rock Regional Chamber, and Academies of Central Arkansas.
