Caterpillar Logo Set to Appear on Illinois Football Field

The University of Illinois Athletics has entered into a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Caterpillar Inc., one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction and mining equipment. As part of this deal, the Caterpillar logo will be displayed on the 25-yard lines on Zuppke Field inside Gies Memorial Stadium.

This marks the first-ever long-term on-field corporate logo in the stadium's history. The partnership comes as no surprise given that both Illinois Athletics and Caterpillar have a strong connection to the state of Illinois, with over 17,000 Caterpillar employees working there.

Caterpillar has also invested $10 million in the state to support its Building the Future Workforce Initiative. University Athletic Director Josh Whitman praised the partnership, stating that it is 'groundbreaking' and aligns with the shared history and values of both Illinois Athletics and Caterpillar.
