Caterpillar Puts $1 Billion into NC Manufacturing Expansion
Caterpillar is investing approximately $1 billion in North Carolina to expand manufacturing capacity for its Cat Compact business.
The plans include a new manufacturing facility in Sanford designed to increase production of compact track loaders and telehandlers to meet customer demand.
Caterpillar says the project supports its strategy of making equipment access more convenient for small contractors and growing businesses.
