Caterpillar Sets New Quarterly Revenue Record Amid Strong Equipment Demand

Caterpillar has reported its strongest quarterly revenue in company history, driven by higher demand for construction equipment and favorable pricing. The company posted a record-breaking $20.5 billion in sales and revenues for the second quarter of 2026, up 24% from the same period last year.

The Construction Industries segment saw a significant increase in sales, rising to $8.346 billion, with a 35% jump from the previous year's figures. This growth was attributed to higher sales volume and stronger end-user demand across machines tied to site work, earthmoving, and general building activity.

Caterpillar noted that North America stood out with Construction Industries sales climbing 50% to $5.065 billion in the region. The company stated that this increase reflected higher sales volume, favorable price realization, and changes in dealer inventories.
