Caterpillar Sets Sights on Fabick Cat Acquisition
Caterpillar Inc., a leading heavy machinery manufacturer, announced its intention to acquire Fabick Cat, a Cat dealer serving parts of Missouri and Illinois, all of Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The company said it entered into an agreement with John Fabick Tractor Company on September 29, 2026.
According to the agreement, Fabick has more than 100 years of service history and operates 37 locations. Caterpillar stated that the acquisition is expected to close within 30 days, pending regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.
Caterpillar's chairman and CEO, Joe Creed, commented on the deal, saying it was intended 'to build on Fabick's service history and strengthen the customer experience across the territory.'
The company's stock price rose by 0.90 percent after-hours on September 29, 2026, reaching EUR 728.50 at 9:05 p.m. CEST.
