Caterpillar Taps AI-Powered Robotics with FieldAI Partnership

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) has partnered with FieldAI to integrate artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital twin technology into industrial job sites and manufacturing facilities.

The collaboration combines Caterpillar's operational data and engineering capabilities with FieldAI's robot-agnostic autonomy software and foundation models.

Early applications include autonomous inspections, real-time facility digital twins, situational awareness tools, and operational optimization through simulation and automation.

The partnership uses Nvidia accelerated computing and Nvidia Omniverse technologies to build high-fidelity digital twins from operational data.

Caterpillar's chief technology officer, Jaime Mineart, said 'The future of our industries will be shaped by how effectively we combine human expertise with AI-powered machines.'
