Caterpillar Unveils On-Field Presence with Illinois Athletics Partnership

Caterpillar Inc. has inked another deal with Illinois' Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, this time to feature its logo on the 25-yard lines of Zuppke Field at Gies Memorial Stadium.

The multi-year agreement is part of a larger effort by the university to expand its sponsorship portfolio in college athletics.

Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Joe Creed said the company's roots in Illinois run deep, and this partnership will help strengthen that connection with the people and communities who have contributed to their success.

The deal also includes game-day statistics on the Memorial Stadium videoboard and allows Caterpillar to use Fighting Illini logos, marks, and imagery in its marketing and advertising efforts.
