Cathie Wood Unloads on AMD, Buys Big into Nvidia and Broadcom

Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has made significant changes to its holdings in the semiconductor sector, unloading $110.4 million worth of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) shares while increasing stakes in Nvidia and Broadcom.

The transactions involve a block sale of 181,767 AMD shares, which is part of a larger trend where ARK Invest has been shifting assets towards AI-chip rivals. The sell-off is noteworthy given AMD's recent $8.2 billion acquisition of Fei-Fei Li's AI business World Labs.

Nvidia, on the other hand, continues to see significant growth, with its fiscal second-quarter sales rising 106% to $96.22 billion. Broadcom also predicts strong performance in the sector, expecting AI sales to exceed $115 billion in 2027.
