CDPQ Invests $1.34 Billion in Amazon.com, Becoming Seventh-Largest Stakeholder

The Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDPQ) made a significant investment in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) by purchasing a new stake of 5,641,092 shares worth approximately $1.34 billion.

This acquisition brings Amazon's share of CDPQ's portfolio to about 1.9%, making it the company's seventh-largest position.

Institutional investors and hedge funds own 72.20% of Amazon.com's stock, with many other firms like Silvant Capital Management LLC, Northstar Financial Companies Inc., and Gryphon Financial Partners LLC also holding significant stakes in the e-commerce giant.
