Cedarville's Landon Nates Scores Game-Winner in Thrilling Road Victory

Cedarville University's men's soccer team earned its second consecutive Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) road victory with a 2-1 win over Lake Erie College on Thursday night.

The game was scoreless for the first 45 minutes, but Cedarville's Eddie Merck broke the deadlock in the 59th minute. He scored his third goal of the season, assisted by Hayden Hoxie, giving Cedarville a 1-0 lead.

Lake Erie equalized in the 64th minute, but the Yellow Jackets responded immediately with Landon Nates scoring the game-winner just 83 seconds later. Andrew Boythe set up Nates for the deciding goal and a 2-1 lead.
