'Celery' Chosen as Sherwin-Williams' 2027 Color of the Year
Color trends are making waves in the design world, and Sherwin-Williams' latest pick is no exception. The company has chosen 'celery', a soft, muted green with subtle yellow undertones, as its Color of the Year for 2027. This decision was made in collaboration with HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams.
Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams, emphasized that the chosen color reflects today's priorities of 'wellness, balance and connection'. She stated that homeowners and designers are increasingly focusing on creating soothing environments that support mental health and overall well-being.
The company notes that this shift has led to an interest in eco-inspired design, with a greater emphasis on bringing elements of the natural world indoors through color. The 'celery' hue is now available for purchase in local Sherwin-Williams stores and online, along with free color chips upon request.
