Changi General Hospital Pioneers AI-Powered Paediatric MCI Preparedness Platform
Changi General Hospital (CGH) and IBM have collaborated to create an AI-powered platform for paediatric Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) preparedness. The solution, which combines immersive mixed reality with real-time scenario intelligence and workflow orchestration, is designed to deliver a more realistic, scalable, and data-driven approach to emergency response training.
The traditional methods used for MCI training are often resource-intensive, hard to scale effectively, and lack realistic performance insights. By using the IBM AI-powered platform watsonx.ai and watsonx Orchestrate, CGH's healthcare teams can move beyond passive simulation to hands-on experiential learning with real-time performance insights and AI-assisted feedback.
The AI Assessor at the heart of the platform transforms how emergency response training is evaluated. It analyses voice communications, treatment actions, and simulation data to deliver objective performance insights, identify gaps in response, and enable more effective debriefing.
