Charter Communications' Chief Financial Officer Jessica Fischer is leaving her position to join Google-Blackstone's new joint venture, TPU neocloud. The venture aims to build a cloud infrastructure that offers Google's Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).

Fischer will continue to work at Charter until October 15 and be replaced by Kevin Howard as interim CFO. She expressed gratitude to her colleagues for their support during her nearly ten-year tenure at the company.

The joint venture, backed by Blackstone's $5 billion investment in equity capital from its funds, plans to bring 500MW of capacity online by 2027 with potential for expansion over time. Former Google engineering VP Benjamin Treynor Sloss is heading the effort.
