Chef Kelli Potter Brings Family Tradition to Atlanta Food & Wine Festival
Chef Kelli Potter, owner of Nana's Chicken and Waffles, will host 'Southern Fried: A Chicken Affair' at the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival on Sept. 13.
Potter is no stranger to the festival, having walked from tent to tent under the sun, tasting bites and drinks celebrating Southern tradition in previous years.
As a self-proclaimed 'Queen of Waffles,' Potter knows what it's like to be one of the featured restaurants at the festival, bringing community together through food.
The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival will take place from Thursday, Sept. 10, through Sunday, Sept. 13, featuring over 200 chefs, restaurants, and beverage purveyors at The Home Depot Backyard.
Potter's journey to host chef began in the kitchens of her family matriarchs, watching them stir pots on the stove or slide baking pans into the oven as a child in Baltimore.
Nana's Chicken and Waffles was named after Potter's grandmother, who inspired childhood recipes now shared with the community for over a decade.
