Chevrolet and Disney Unleash Character-Inspired Vehicles at D23 Fan Event
The animated movie Cars turned 20 years old this year and to celebrate, Chevrolet and Disney collaborated on two character-inspired wrapped vehicles at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The 2026 Chevy Colorado was transformed into Ramone, a low-riding 1959 Chevy Impala in its original form, while the 2027 Chevy Bolt became Flo, inspired by the 1951 Buick XP-300.
The collaboration between GM and Disney dates back to 1982's World of Motion attraction at EPCOT. Today, GM is the Official Vehicle Sponsor of Walt Disney World Resort and the Presenting Sponsor of the Test Track attraction.
To wrap the vehicles, the team used a silver metallic printable specialty film for the Colorado that mimics paint accented with metallic flake, while using a wrap film for the Bolt. The process took about a week to complete, involving 12 people from Graphix Concepts who worked together to achieve the final result.
