Chevron Announces Major Leadership Shifts for 2027
Chevron Corporation has unveiled a series of senior leadership changes set to take effect on January 1, 2027. The company announced new roles for key executives, including a new chief financial officer and shifts in leadership for its Oil, Products & Gas and New Energies businesses.
Mark Nelson, currently vice chairman and executive vice president of Oil, Products & Gas, will expand his role to focus on strategy and business development. His responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to strengthen Chevron’s portfolio and drive long-term growth.
Eimear Bonner, the current chief financial officer, will transition to president of Oil, Products & Gas. She will oversee operations across the company’s value chain, including capital allocation and asset performance.
Jeff Gustavson, currently president of New Energies, will become Chevron’s new chief financial officer. Meanwhile, Brent Gros, president of Offshore, will take over as president of New Energies, leading the company’s lower-carbon businesses and artificial intelligence strategy.
Chevron Chairman and CEO Mike Wirth praised the incoming leaders, highlighting their operational expertise and strategic vision. The company’s strategy focuses on growing its oil and gas operations while expanding its new energy businesses and reducing carbon intensity.
