Chevron-Backed Summer School Concludes with 104 Young Women in STEM
A Chevron-backed summer school for students concluded in Chattogram, Bangladesh, after four weeks of classes. The Asian University for Women's 'Math and Science Summer School' saw 104 participants from across the country.
The programme was supported by Chevron Bangladesh since 2019 with a focus on encouraging young women to pursue STEM education. According to Ashiq Rahman, Director of Operations at Chevron Bangladesh, the company aims to unlock potential through initiatives like this summer school.
Dr Md Ziauddin, Chattogram Divisional Commissioner, attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and praised the university and Chevron for supporting women's education in STEM fields.
