Chevron Bangladesh Appoints Shu Xiong as New President

Shu Xiong has taken on the role of president and managing director of Chevron Bangladesh, effective August 1, 2026. She succeeds Eric M Walker, who led the company for six years.

Xiong brings a wealth of experience to her new position. Before joining Chevron in 2007, she held senior leadership positions at Stanford University and the University of Houston. At Chevron's China Business Unit, she oversaw the company's upstream business and energy value chain activities while building partnerships across multiple joint venture operations.

Xiong's appointment marks a significant development for Chevron Bangladesh, which has been operating in the country for over three decades. She expressed her commitment to deepening the company's relationship with the Government of Bangladesh and Petrobangla, supporting the nation's energy needs today and into the future.
