Chevron has made a significant investment in Venezuela's oil industry, committing over $7 billion to increase production in the country.

The company aims to reach a daily production of around 600,000 barrels within five years, more than double its current output in Venezuela.

This expansion will focus on two areas of the Orinoco Belt and utilize existing infrastructure such as pipelines and roads.

Chevron expects production costs to be below $20 per barrel, which it believes is a competitive advantage.
