Chevron Meets with Egyptian Officials to Boost Gas Exploration

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Chevron executives in New York on Thursday to discuss expanding gas exploration and supply deals. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 81, aimed to accelerate offshore production projects. Madbouly offered government support and regulatory incentives to facilitate investment procedures and speed up drilling activities.

The Egyptian prime minister invited Chevron to expand its Mediterranean concessions, emphasizing the importance of securing additional natural gas supplies for the domestic market. Chevron executives reaffirmed the strategic significance of their operations in Egypt and the broader Eastern Mediterranean region.
